First Insight, Inc. is a cloud-based technology company providing the world’s leading platform empowering retailers and brands to introduce the right products and the right price.  Due to our dynamic and fast-paced culture we are looking for a candidate to support our growth in the Finance and Administration department.  The candidate we are searching for would be self-motivated, high energy and detail oriented.  The candidate must also be a team player, willing to work with individuals from all departments within the organization.  This candidate will report directly to the Controller.

Part-Time Accountant

COMPENSATION

$22.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on qualifications

JOB DESCRIPTION

The candidate must be willing to work 16 hours per week from our headquarters in Warrendale, PA.  The timing of the hours throughout the week is flexible.  The principal duties of the candidate include the following:

  • Process Accounts Payable invoices and schedule weekly payment runs
  • Generate Accounts Receivable invoices and manage customer accounts
  • Maintain the fixed asset schedule
  • Filing of physical and electronic records
  • Assist with the company’s travel and expense reporting system

In addition to the specified activities, the candidate will also be required from time to time to fulfill ad hoc requests presented by the Controller or members of Executive Management (i.e. Chief Financial Officer, Chief Executive Officer).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of relative experience in an accounting and administrative role
  • College degree in a related area of study
  • General knowledge of accounting and financial terms and theories
  • The ability to balance multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of how to follow and enhance existing processes
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking skills to solve problems
  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a team environment
