Due to our dynamic and fast paced culture we are looking for a candidate to support our growth in the Finance and Administration department by performing cross-functional tasks in both accounting and administrative capacities. The candidate we are looking for would be self-motivated, high energy and highly detail oriented. The candidate must be a people person and would be responsible for working with members from all departments within the organization. The candidate would report directly to the Manager of Reporting and Planning.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The following are main activities of the position:

  • Process Accounts Payable invoices
  • Generate Accounts Receivable invoices
  • Update the fixed asset schedule
  • Maintain physical and electronic copies of all pertinent records
  • Assist with travel and expense reporting system
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules for the monthly close
  • Assist in preparation of schedules and fulfillment of document requests for the financial audit
  • Maintain health and welfare benefit system and records
  • Maintain office supplies and relationships with appropriate vendors
  • Manage equipment log, schedule maintenance and order new equipment

In addition to the above activities, the Specialist will also be required from time to time to fulfill ad hoc requests presented by direct in charge as well as Executive Management members (i.e. Chief Financial Officer, Chief Executive Officer).

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of experience in accounting and administrative role.
  • General knowledge of accounting and financial terms and theories
  • The ability to balance multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Understand how to follow and enhance existing processes
  • The ability to utilize critical thinking skills to solve problems
  • Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Comfortable working in a team environment
  • College degree in an related area of study
